TRANSLATIONS / TILLÖGUR er viðleitni til að skoða sýningarsalinn sem rými þar sem tungumál er ekki bundið við orð, heldur birtist sem strúktúr, flokkun og rýmisleg aðlögun.
Sýningin leggur til að rýmið sé ekki hlutlaust ílát heldur ferli; þýðing úr einu ástandi í annað. Ekkert frumrit er tiltækt. Aðeins útgáfur. Speglanir án fyrirmyndar. Endurtekningar án uppruna. Engin skrá yfir fyrsta tilvik er til. Aðeins vissan um að önnur útgáfa muni fylgja.
Í rýminu heldur innsigluð hurð áfram að skipuleggja hreyfingu og stoðir búa sig undir álag sem er ekki lengur til staðar. Fjarlægðir eru mældar. Athygli er hljóðlega úthlutað. Hlutverk eru ákveðin.
Hér er tungumál nálgast sem kerfi væntinga; taktur, bil, hliðrun. Merking býr hvorki í hlutum né staðhæfingum; hún verður til milli forma. Hún er spenna, tengsl, misræmi. Hún birtist ekki sem yfirlýsing heldur sem dreifing.
Rýmið er í þýðingu. Líkaminn les áður en heilinn útskýrir. Heilinn flokkar áður en líkaminn samþykkir. Orð sem er ósagt mótar samt munninn. Hljóð sem ekki heyrist fyllir samt rýmið. Herbergið þýðir þig þegar þú hreyfir þig í gegnum það. Að horfa er ekki einkamál.
Í þessari sýningu verður rýmið vettvangur samninga; milli líkama og tungumáls, milli skynjunar og strúktúrs, milli þess sem fer í gegn og þess sem situr eftir. Fjarvera er ekki tómarúm heldur skilyrðið sem þar sem allt mætist.

TRANSLATIONS / TILLÖGUR is an attempt to consider the exhibition space as a site where language is not bound to words, but appears as structure, allocation, and spatial adjustment.
The exhibition proposes that space is not a neutral container but a process: a translation from one state into another. No original is available. Only copies. Reflections without a first surface. Repetitions without a source. There is no archive of the first instance. Only the certainty that another version will follow.
Within the space, a sealed door continues to organise movement, and supports prepare for a load that is no longer present. Distances are measured. Attention is quietly allocated. Roles are assigned.
Here, language is approached as a system of expectations: rhythm, gap, displacement. Meaning resides neither in objects nor in statements; it emerges between forms. It is tension, relation, misalignment. It appears not as declaration but as distribution.
The room is in translation. The body reads before the mind explains. The mind classifies before the body consents. A word left unspoken still shapes the mouth. A sound not heard still occupies space. The room translates you as you move through it. Looking is not private.
In this exhibition, the space becomes a site of negotiation: between body and language, between perception and structure, between what passes through and what remains. Absence is not emptiness but the condition everything enters into.
